Cold-Formed steel (CFS) (also known light-gauge steel) is a metal product that is not part of the conventional building materials (hot-rolled steel, reinforced concrete, masonry or wood), and many engineers and inspector still do not understand it fully and often do not trust it.

We are an independent design company providing sealed cold-formed steel shop drawings and calculations in all 50 states.

Our over 25 years of experience in cold-formed steel engineering (CFSE) makes us uniquely qualify in this field of structural engineering. We have worked with all areas of cold-formed steel from components (curtain wall, trusses, joists) to multi story load bearing projects and storages, even panel darwings.

We pride ourselves on service, we'll carefully review the architectural and structural drawings and the specifications and give a competitive design fee. We can also provide you with preliminary sizind informations to help you bid the job. We will listen to your needs and preferences and provide you with a safe and economical design. Most engineer of records overdesign CFS and we can often save you on material as well as on labor costs.

We typical use the standard SSMA (Steel Stud Manufacturers Association) stud designation but can use any company specific designation. Connections are an important part of CFSE, we often show more than one solution (for example a typical clip or a proprietary one) giving you multiple options.
